ROT (2018)
The series "ROT" visualizes the diverse range of meanings associated with the colour red. These associations are filled with contradictions and extremes: love, passion, anger and violence. Red is also the colour of the body fluid blood, which resembles life itself and its absence results in death.
As the work was commissioned by the German fashion magazine "Numéro," the photographs incorporate fashion objects that in themselves represent luxury and passion. They assist in expressing, celebrating and questioning the female body and its relationship to the camera.
